CYTOOchips
Precision for live-cell imaging
What is a CYTOOchip?
The CYTOOchip is a 19.5×19.5 mm coverslip with micropatterns transferred by photolithography onto high-quality, low-fluorescence borosilicate glass.
Our CYTOOchips collection

Starter
Explore four different micropatterns in three sizes on a single chip to determine the optimal pattern and size for your cell line.

Standard
Same patterns available as Starter, but with a single identical micropattern shape and size across the entire chip for consistency.

Arena
Designed for spatially confined cell applications, offering various circle sizes.

Custom
Design your own micropattern* or choose a different shape from our extensive database of patterns.
*Custom designs require a one-time mask creation fee. You can opt for exclusive ownership of the mask at an additional cost.
Choose your coating
Our products come with different coating options to suit various applications:
- Activated: Ready to be coated with the protein of your choice.
- Fibronectin: Coated with fibronectin for reliable cell adhesion.
- Fibronectin 650: Fluorescently labeled version, facilitating cell imaging.
Storage and stability
Essential information to maintain product quality and performance.
Packaging

CYTOOchips are packed in sets of 6, sealed in an aluminum bag under inert gas. Sold in lots of 18 chips (3 blisters of 6 chips each).
Storage

Keep at 4°C and use before the 6-month expiry date indicated on the packaging.
Stability

Guaranteed for at least 3 months from shipment when stored properly.
Discover our chambers
Designed for high-resolution live-cell imaging, CYTOOchambers ensure optimal environmental conditions for long-term cell culture.

1-well
Ideal for experiments where multiple micropattern geometries are printed on a single chip (e.g., CYTOOchip Starter or certain custom chip configurations). This chamber is also better suited for high-resolution live-cell imaging with high numerical aperture objectives and for tracking rare events such as mitotic cells.

4-well
Allows for time-lapse or immunofluorescence experiments with multiple conditions in parallel while maintaining thousands of patterns per well. The four-quadrant layout of CYTOOchips Arena and Motility makes them fully compatible with the CYTOOchamber 4-well.
CYTOOchamber main characteristics
- Reusable and autoclavable
- Easy-to-use magnetic assembly
- Standard 35 mm footprint
- Compatibility with common microscope stages
- Supports up to four conditions in parallel
- Separate silicone gasket and glass lid available for replacement in case of breakage
